Hey there! It's been a loooong while!
If you've been following me a while, you'd know that I once had purple hair.
But because it was time for me to look for a job, I'd dyed it dark.
It was legit the saddest thing I had to do.
สวัสดีค่าา ไม่ได้เจอกันนานเลยยย
ถ้าติดตามกันมาก่อนก็อาจจะเคยเห็นว่ามุ้ยเคยมีผมสีม่วง
แต่ด้วยเหตุที่ต้องหางานทำ มุ้ยเลยต้องจำใจย้อมกลับเป็นผมสีเข้ม
บอกเลยว่า เสีย ใจ มาก

Honestly, I was in denial.
So I kept using the purple-hair me as the profile picture for my social media accounts LOL
และยังคงทำใจไม่ได้ด้วย
รูปไอคอนของเฟสบุ๊คแฟนเพจเอย ยูทูปเอย ไอจีเอย ก็เลยยังคงใช้รูปเมื่อยังผมม่วงต่อไป 5555

But now I've changed jobs and my new boss approves of dyed hair!
Talk about best news ever!!!
แต่ตอนนี้มุ้ยย้ายงานใหม่ แล้วนายใหม่เค้าบอกว่าย้อมได้!
แกกกกก มันคือข่าวดีที่สุดในรอบปีก็ว่าได้!!

And the timing couldn't be better.
I had about a 10-days break between the last day at my old job and the first day at my new one.
So, I hastily booked my ticket home and also quickly secured my spot at my trusted salon, The Cortice.
I've gotten my hair done there 3 times - perm, dye, cut and whatnot - and they've never let me down.

ระหว่างหลังออกจากงานเก่าและเริ่มงานใหม่ มีเวลาพักประมาณ 10 วัน
หมวยก็เลยรีบจองตั๋วเครื่องบินกลับบ้านเรา อิอิอิ
แล้วก็รีบจองคิวที่ร้าน The Cortice ร้านเดิมที่ไว้วางใจด้วย
เคยมาทำ 3 ครั้ง ทั้งดัด ทำสี ตัด มิเคยผิดหวังเบย

This time, I'm coming back for my beloved purple.
And since I've noticed that getting pastel hair is becoming more and more popular these days, I wanted to share my own experience of the whole process with you all. :)

แล้วเห็นช่วงนี้ยิ่งฮิตทำสีกัน มุ้ยเลยอยากจะมาแชร์ประสบการณ์ทำสีของมุ้ยให้ฟังบ้าง

Before | ก่อนทำ

The super dark hair at the crown of my head is my natural hair color.
The brown-ish hair towards the tip is part of what was previously bleached from last time.
(It's really discolored 'cuz I dyed a dark color right on top of bleached hair)
ผมสีดำมากๆ ตรงโคนคือผมธรรมชาติมุ้ยเองฮะ
ผมสีน้ำตาลตรงปลายคือผมที่เคยฟอกมา
(จากที่ทำผมม่วงรอบแรก แต่ไปย้อมสีน้ำตาลเข้มทับเมื่อเดือนเมษา)

**I'd suggest you to not wash your hair before bleaching so it's conditioned by all the natural oils from your head**
(my head right here is 3-days hair hehehe)
**แนะนำให้อย่าสระผมก่อนฟอก เพราะผมจะได้มีการบำรุงจากน้ำมันธรรมชาติของเราเอง**
(ของมุ้ยคือไม่ได้สระ 3 วัน 555)
And since it's going to be a pretty long process, we should jump right in.
ขั้นตอนฟอกใช้เวลาค่อนข้างนาน พวกเราจึงอย่ารอช้า

Let's Start! | มาเริ่มกันเลยดีกว่า!

First, we'll need to separate the hair into smaller sections
because we want to be able to apply the bleach evenly and thoroughly.
Then goes in the mask and ear covers to protect the eyes and ears from the sting from the bleach.
เริ่มแรกสุดก็แบ่งผมให้เป็นช่อๆ ไม่ให้หนาไปหรือบางไป
เพราะเราต้องการลงผงฟอกให้ทั่วถึง สม่ำเสมอ ทุกเส้นผม
แล้วก็ติดหน้ากากกับใส่ที่ครอบหู
กันมิให้ผงฟอกกระเด็นเข้าตาหรือโดนใบหูของเรา

Now that all the prep work is done, we're ready to bleach!
**One of the reasons I trust the bleaching here is because they use Olaplex**
Olaplex is a product that's going to maintain your hair's integrity even after bleach.
I'm not affiliated with the brand or anything, but I'm just really amazed by its effectiveness.

**อยากแอบกระซิบว่าสาเหตุที่ไว้วางใจร้านนี้เพราะว่าเค้าใช้ Olaplex นั่นเอง**
Olaplex เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ช่วยรักษาสภาพเส้นผมให้แข็งแรงแม้ฟอก
นี่ไม่ได้เป็นพรีเซ็นเตอร์นะ แต่ทึ่งไปกับความอเมซิ่งของผลิตภัณฑ์จริงๆ
อยากเชิญชวนให้ไปดูรูปในลิ้งค์นี้ แล้วจะเข้าใจว่ามุ้ยกำลังพยายามสื่ออะไรอยู่

Transformed into a foil-head monster! | กลายร่างเป็นมนุษย์หัวฟอยล์ แฮร่!

It took about an hour to apply bleach all over my head.
Then they let the bleach sit and do its job.
Waited for about half an hour then the stylist would come and check on my hair
(she said it was looking good, yay)
ใช้เวลาลงผงฟอกไปประมาณชม. นึงถึงจะหมดทั้งหัวนะฮะ
จากนั้นก็ปล่อยให้ผงฟอกมันทำงานของมันไป
ทิ้งไว้ประมาณครึ่งชม. พี่เค้าก็จะมาเช็คสภาพผม
(เค้าบอกว่าของเราโอเลยยย เย้ๆ)

A couple of selfies later, it was time to rinse away the bleach.
And the result is as follows..
นั่งถ่ายเซลฟี่ไปอีกสักพัก ก็ได้เวลาล้างออก
ผลลัพธ์หลังการฟอกครั้งแรกก็ได้ประมาณนี้..

The color was so uneven (as expected) LOL
Now it's obvious which part was previously bleached before.
They said the white part is already light enough, so they're not going to touch it anymore.
Now, it's time to tackle the darker parts.
สีไม่สม่ำเสมอ (อย่างที่นึกไว้) เลยฮะ 555
คราวนี้ก็เห็นได้ชัดเลยว่าผมช่วงไหนคือผมที่เคยฟอกแล้ว
ส่วนนั้นเค้าบอกว่าขาวพอแล้ว เลยจะไม่ไปยุ่งกับมันอีก
ทีนี้ก็มาสู้กับส่วนที่ยังขาวไม่พอต่อกัน

Bleach round 2, let's go!
มาค่ะ ฟอกรอบที่ 2!

Same process but not on the already light tips. | ทำเหมือนเดิมแต่ไม่ลงตรงปลายที่สีขาวพอแล้ว

And the waiting game continues.. | รอ ร้อ รอ ผมม่วงของพี่อยู่ไหนหนอ..

About another half an hour and a rinse later, my hair now looks like this..
พอผ่านไปอีกประมาณครึ่งชม. ก็ได้เวลาล้างออก
ผมที่ได้หลังฟอกรอบที่ 2 ก็ประมาณนี้ครัช..

Another step closer now.. our goal is to reach the same color as the tip!
ใกล้ขึ้นอีกก้าวแล้ววว
จุดหมายเราคือสีตรงปลายผม!

So it calls for another round of le bleach.
But this time, we apply it to the roots too (sobs)
And they also wrapped the top of my head in plastic and put me under an infrared machine
เราก็เลยต้องมาฟอกอีกรอบฮะ
แต่รอบนี้ฟอกโคนด้วย (ฮืออ)
รอบนี้มีการห่อด้วยแวรปพลาสติกและนั่งในเครื่องอบอินฟราเรดด้วย

At the time, it was getting really late, so we didn't take any photos and jumped right into Round 4.
Process with the same as the previous round - application then infrared,
leave it in, then rinse it out.. and the results of 4 rounds of bleaching is as you see below..
ณ จุดๆ นี้คือเริ่มดึกแล้ว เลยรีบลงมือลงผงฟอกรอบที่ 4 ต่อเลย
ลงเสร็จก็นั่งในเครื่องอบเหมือนเดิม
แล้วก็ปล่อยทิ้งไว้แล้วล้างออก ผลหลังจากฟอกไปทั้งหมด 4 ครั้งก็ได้อย่างที่เห็นด้านล่าง..

And that concludes the bleaching part. Hoorah!
Now, to the part that we've all been waiting for.. Dyeing!
และแล้วก็เสร็จสิ้นกับการฟอก เย้ๆๆๆ
ต่อมาก็ถึงขั้นตอนที่รอคอย.. ลงสี!

The steps are actually the same..
Dye, leave it in for about half an hour, then rinse.
And then, after it's blown-dry... *angels chorus*
My favorite purple! Gahhhh.
ขั้นตอนก็ยังเหมือนเดิมนะ
ลงสี ปล่อยทิ้งไว้ประมาณครึ่งชม. ล้างออก
แล้วพอไดร์ออกมาคือ..สีถูกใจมาาาก
มันคือม่วงที่ฉันชอบเลยอ๊ะแก



So worth the 10 hours stuck in a salon chair.
Been sitting there since the shop opened up until it's closed. LOL
ถือว่าคุ้มค่ากับที่นั่งมา 10 ชม. ค่ะ
ตั้งแต่ร้านเปิดยันร้านปิด 55

As you can see, the color's quite uneven throughout my head,
but I personally love it - it looks like I got silver highlights. :3
จากที่เห็นในรูป สีที่ออกมาสม่ำเสมอกันทั้งหัวนะ
แต่ส่วนตัวแล้วชอบมาก เหมือนมีไฮไลท์สีเทา อิอิ

Teacher Jane said it's normal for newly bleached hair to not absorb dye so well,
and that colors will fade really quickly (which I confirm - all the colors faded after 2 washes the last time I dyed it purple right after bleaching at the salon)
So she recommended that I go back for a re-dye, which indeed, I did
อาจารเจนเค้าบอกว่าเป็นเรื่องปกติที่ผมฟอกใหม่จะดูดซับสีได้ไม่ค่อยดีเท่าไหร่
แล้วสีก็จะหลุดเร็วมาก (อันนี้คอนเฟิร์มจากครั้งแรกที่มุ้ยทำ สระแค่ 2 ครั้งสีก็หลุดหมดหัวล้ะ)
เค้าเลยแนะนำให้มุ้ยกลับไปเติมสีอีกรอบ
มุ้ยก็เลยกลับไปฮะ

Re-Dye on 6 January | เติมสีเมื่อวันที่ 6 มกรา

This time, I spent only about 2 hours at the salon.
Dyed it twice, because the stylist really wanted the color to stay put for as long as possible.
And the final product is as you can see below
รอบนี้รู้สึกใช้เวลาไปแค่ประมาณ 2 ชม. กว่าๆ
ลงสีไป 2 ครั้ง เพราะพี่เค้าอยากให้สีมันติดทนไปเลยย
ผลลัพธ์ก็อย่างที่เห็นด้านล่างเลย

The new color is so cool!
The tip is obviously more saturated because the base is whiter.
The roots and inside of the hair is another tone of purple,
and when you look at it under different lightings, it becomes different kinds of purple.
สีใหม่คือเก๋มาก
ตรงปลายจะสีสดกว่า (เพราะปลายผมเคยฟอกมาก่อน)
แล้วตรงโคนกับด้านในก็อีกสีนึง
ดูใต้ไฟต่างๆ ก็กลายเป็นม่วงหลายๆ แบบ

(Top - Right after the session) Left - Under fluorescent light at the BTS station / Right - Warm light in Siam Center (แถวบน - ถ่ายหลังทำเสร็จใหม่ๆ) ซ้าย - ใต้ไฟสีขาวบนสถานีบีทีเอส / ขวา - ไฟสีเหลืองในห้างสยามเซ็นเตอร์ (Bottom - Next day) Left - Natural early afternoon day light at Suvannabhumi Airport / Right - Natural early evening day light from an aircraft window (my hair matches the seat lol) (แถวล่าง - ถ่ายวันต่อมา) ซ้าย - แสงธรรมชาติในสนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ ตอนประมาณบ่ายๆ / ขวา - แสงธรรมชาติจากหน้าต่างในเครื่องบินตอนประมาณ 4 โมงเย็น (สีเดียวกับเบาะเลย 55)

There's not much else to say, just that I realllllly love it!
So very happy with my hair right now!
ก็ไม่มีอะไรมากอ่านะ แค่ชอบมว๊ากกก
ตอนนี้แฮปปี้กับผมมากๆๆๆๆ

It's now been a week since I dyed it, and I'm happy to say the color's still intact!
Well, because I haven't washed my hair yet, hahah.
นี่ก็ผ่านมาแล้วอาทิตย์นึงเนอะ
สีก็ยังคงอยู่ดี.. เพราะยังไม่ได้สระผมเลย 5555
